About Us

Where compassion takes root

Planting Hands Food Bank is a family-owned, self-funded nonprofit organization serving San Bernardino, the Bay Area, and surrounding communities. Formerly known as Food Bank Warriors, our organization has rebranded under new leadership with a renewed mission to fight hunger, reduce food waste, and provide families with consistent access to nutritious food. For over 12 years, our team has worked to support individuals and families facing food insecurity. We believe that no family should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. Through food distribution, donation partnerships, volunteer support, and community outreach, Planting Hands Food Bank continues to serve as a helping hand for those in need. Our goal is simple: to provide food with dignity, compassion, and care.

Why Food Rescue Matters

Every year, large amounts of usable food go to waste while families in our communities struggle with hunger. Through food rescue and redistribution, we help close that gap — reducing waste while providing meaningful support to families in need.
